The Process and The Pain
I created the ASK System for deeply personal and professional reasons. For years, I was thrust into leadership roles I wasn’t prepared for—lacking training, support, or guidance. The result? Burnout, poor leadership, emotional wear and tear, and unintentional harm to myself and others. I had the raw ability to lead but failed to do the one thing that could’ve changed everything: ASK.
Sure, I led teams to accomplish incredible things. I launched successful ventures. I recovered from failure and reclaimed success more than once. But I often wonder—what if I’d had the courage to ASK for help sooner? What if someone had ASKed me what I really needed? What if I’d known how to ASK better questions, pursue better answers, and face challenges with more clarity?
The ASK System was born out of 30 years of leadership marked by trial, resilience, and faith. I’ve had to ASK—again and again—for help, wisdom, forgiveness, and direction. That’s why ASK isn’t just a framework. It’s a lifeline. It challenges blind spots, breaks assumptions, and gives leaders the clarity and courage to move forward with purpose.
That’s what makes it powerful. That’s what makes it different. And that’s why it all starts with one simple act: ASK.
